Eye Disease Diagnosis & Treatment
Early Detection. Advanced Technology. Ongoing Care.
Early Detection. Advanced Technology. Ongoing Care.
Many serious eye diseases develop quietly — without pain or noticeable vision changes in the early stages.
That’s why comprehensive exams and advanced diagnostic imaging are so important.
At Lifetime Eye Care, we use modern technology to detect eye disease early, monitor changes precisely, and guide personalized treatment plans designed to protect your long-term vision.
Optomap® Retinal Imaging –Ultra-widefield imaging that captures a detailed view of the retina, allowing early detection of retinal disease, diabetic changes, macular degeneration, and peripheral abnormalities.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) – High-resolution cross-sectional imaging of the retina and optic nerve. OCT allows us to detect microscopic changes associated with glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other retinal conditions — often before vision is affected.
Visual Field Testing – Measures peripheral vision and helps detect and monitor glaucoma, neurological conditions, and other disorders that impact visual pathways.
Corneal Topography – Detailed mapping of the cornea used to evaluate irregular corneas, keratoconus, post-surgical changes, and specialty contact lens planning.
These tools allow us to detect disease earlier, track progression more accurately, and make confident treatment decisions.
Macular Degeneration (AMD) – A condition affecting central vision due to changes in the retina. Early detection and monitoring are critical to preserving functional vision.
Glaucoma – Often called the “silent thief of sight,” glaucoma damages the optic nerve and can lead to permanent vision loss if untreated. Regular monitoring and early intervention are essential.
Diabetic Retinopathy – Diabetes can damage the tiny blood vessels in the retina. Routine retinal imaging allows us to detect changes early and coordinate care appropriately.
Cataracts – A natural clouding of the eye’s lens that can cause blurry or hazy vision. We monitor cataract development and provide surgical co-management when appropriate.
Dry Eye Disease – A chronic condition affecting tear quality and eye comfort. We diagnose underlying causes and develop treatment plans to improve comfort and protect the ocular surface. Learn more about Dry Eye Disease and Treatment at Lifetime Eye Care.
Retinal Conditions – Including retinal holes, tears, detachments, and vascular changes that require prompt evaluation and referral when necessary.
Diagnosis is only the beginning. Depending on your condition, treatment may include:
We carefully monitor changes over time using advanced imaging to ensure treatment remains effective and timely.
Many eye diseases are most treatable when detected early — before symptoms develop.
Our goal is not simply to react to vision loss, but to prevent it whenever possible.
If you have risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, family history of eye disease, or are over age 60, regular monitoring is especially important.
We are committed to protecting your vision with thoughtful, technology-driven care.
